Congratulations King Sam – King of the 2022 Mango Season!

Congratulations to King Sam from Skippy’s Fresh Frootz after being crowned ‘King of the 2022 Mango Season!

Mango season officially launched on the 29th of September at the annual Brisbane Produce Market Mango Auction. The highly anticipated first tray of mangoes was auctioned off to the highest bidder with proceeds being donated to charity.

Sam won the auction at the Brisbane Markets. Sam’s $20,000 mango tray purchase was enough to snag him the title of the 2022 Mango King!  Minister Mark Furner MP for Ferny Grove did the honour of presenting Sam with the winning bidder’s crown.
